Who is responsible

OKO Labs, Inc., a Florida corporation, operates Both Plates and this website. Where applicable privacy law uses the term, OKO Labs, Inc. is the controller of the personal information described here. Contact details appear below.

Information we handle

Website connection information. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include an IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, request time, and diagnostic or security information. These are hosting and security records; they are not a signup or a fitness profile.

Information you send us. If you email hello@bothplates.com, we receive your email address, name if supplied, message, and any attachments you choose to send. If you contact us through Instagram, we receive the profile and interaction information that platform makes available to us. Please send only what is needed for your inquiry and avoid medical records or other sensitive information.

How we use information

We use connection information to deliver the site, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and maintain security. We use correspondence to respond to your inquiry, address a rights request, or manage the matter you contacted us about. We may also retain information when necessary to comply with law or establish or defend legal claims.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on legitimate interests in operating a secure website and responding to inquiries, and on legal obligations where applicable. If a future feature requires consent, we will request it where required and update this policy before introducing that feature.

Cookies and advertising

The current website does not install analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site profiling scripts. Fonts and illustrations are served from our own site. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it to target ads.

Essential infrastructure may process requests for security and delivery. Browser privacy settings remain available to you. Because the site has no advertising or analytics tracker, it does not use a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to change tracking behavior. Following an Instagram link takes you to a separate service whose cookies and privacy settings apply there.

Service providers and disclosure

We use hosting and email service providers to operate the website and handle correspondence. They process relevant information for those services. Vercel's Privacy Notice explains its own processing. Instagram and other linked platforms have their own privacy policies; we do not embed an Instagram feed on this website.

We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and safety, or to professional advisers subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations. We do not send your inquiry to advertisers. If ownership of the website changes, relevant records may transfer subject to applicable law and this policy.

Retention and security

We keep correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to handle the inquiry and related follow-up, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Hosting records are retained according to our provider's applicable service settings and retention practices. Retention depends on the purpose and type of record; we do not promise a single deletion period for all records.

We use HTTPS and appropriate access controls. No website, email service, or storage method can guarantee absolute security. OKO Labs, Inc. is based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States or other locations. Where legally required, applicable transfer safeguards govern that processing.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent where processing relies on it; and appeal a decision about a request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

We may ask for reasonable information to verify the request, and will respond within the period required by applicable law. Some records may be retained for legal reasons. We do not discriminate against people for exercising privacy rights.

You can choose not to email or interact with our social account. To manage information held by Instagram or another platform independently, use that platform's privacy controls and request process.

Children and policy changes

Both Plates is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.

We will update this page if our practices change. The effective date identifies the current policy. A new data collection feature may require additional notice or consent under applicable law.
